remarks from RUDRA REBBAPRAGADA
Thanks for sending the link for " KAILAS YATRA ".I could view the beautiful pictures and also read the travel diary. It is very interesting.I read about the use of camphor at high altitude for the very first time. Please let me know a little more about it.I heard about the use of small doses of diuretics if a persons has to acclimatize very quickly to high altitude.Generally,we recommend a gradual process of acclimatization and people are encouraged to camp at an altitude of 9,000 feet before reaching higher altitudes. If time doesn't permit, diuretics such as Tablet Lasix should help.
I read news paper stories about resumption of pilgrimage to Mount Kailas and read that the Chinese Govt would allow only small batches of pilgrims via the land route.I am glad to note that my aunt was in this small batch of pilgrims who performed this Yatra.Really a great feat.
